There was reason to celebrate for our team at this year’s Interpoma. We received a special mention at the Interpoma Award 2022, the prize for innovative technologies in the apple industry. Organized in collaboration with the SOI Società italiana di ortofrutticoltura (Italian Society for Fruit and Vegetable Growing) and the Faculty of Science and Technology of the UniBz, this year the prize was awarded to the most innovative companies in the field of water management in apple growing, following the “more crop per drop” approach.
The jury of the award, consisting of academics and researchers, i.e. leading experts in the field of apple cultivation, decided to award planTection as Special Mention.
“The planTection system has proven to be a practical irrigation controller for larger farms or cooperative irrigation systems where system complexity and operational reliability are critical. The modular architecture with the possibility of integrating sensors and meters as well as the user-friendliness are just some of the features to be mentioned”, according to the evaluation of the expert jury. We are very pleased about this mention and would like to thank all those involved!
